I graduated in 1996 from Medical College, Jaipur, India and then joined the 3-year postgraduate paediatric residency programme. During my post-graduation, I submitted my dissertation for the award of M.D, which has also led to publication. I was awarded ‘Best Student Award’ for overall excellence in academic and extracurricular activities during medical school.

I moved to the UK in 2002. I then joined the 5-year North London Paediatric fellowship to complete my CCT in Neonatal Medicine.

In September 2009, I joined as Consultant Neonatologist in a tertiary level intensive care unit at Ninewells University Hospital & Medical School, Dundee, Scotland. I also served as college tutor for RCPCH.

In December 2012, I moved to Abu Dhabi and later on joined Corniche hospital as consultant neonatologist. My area of interest has always been Neonatal medicine & Intensive care. I have keen interest in academic work and have many presentations and publications in various academic forums and journals.

Apart from my clinical work, I am actively involved in improving electronic health record systems (Cerner) as being part of SEHA’s Physician Advisory Committee (PAC) for Cerner (Malaffi) specially to make is more user friendly, accurate record keeping and ensuring patient safety with an aim to become a completely paperless system.

Corniche Hospital is the only SEHA hospital part of Vermont Oxford Network (VON) data audit and I have been leading the project since 2015.

I was Vice-Chair of RCPCH Trainees Committee and have been actively involved with RCPCH and its educational programme.
