He has trained fellows and nurses to performed neuromonitoring on infants admitted for evaluation of possible Brain injury. His team has been involved in several published Research projects, mostly looking for more efficient anticonvulsants like the NEOLEV study and the Lacosamide Study.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Honold has been a board\u00a0member of INA soon after it was founded and is now the current President of the International Neonatal Association.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"javascript:void(0)\" title=\"Click Here\" target=\"_self\"  data-modal=  role=\"button\" aria-label=\"View Bio\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tView Bio\n\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/worldneonatology.com\/2025\/wp-content\/uploads\/bb-plugin\/cache\/inac-2025-images-1-circle.png\" alt=\"inac 2025 images\" title=\"inac 2025 images\" itemprop=\"image\"\/>\n\t\t<h6> Carmen Carvalho<\/h6>\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<p>Programme Chair | Portugal<\/p>\n\t\t\t<h5>Carmen Carvalho<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>Carmen Carvalho is a pediatrician and neonatologist with a PhD in Bioethics. She currently leads the Neonatology Department at the Centro Materno Infantil do Norte, part of the Centro Hospitalar Universit\u00e1rio de Santo Ant\u00f3nio in Porto.<\/p>\n<p>Carmen Carvalho is an Associate Professor at the Instituto de Ci\u00eancias Biom\u00e9dicas Abel Salazar (ICBAS) at the University of Porto and previously served as President of the Portuguese Society of Neonatology (2020-2022). She is also an active member of several key committees, including the ICBAS\/Santo Ant\u00f3nio Ethics Committee, the Interhospital Pediatric Palliative Care Team, the Disciplinary Council of the Portuguese Medical Association, and the Santo Ant\u00f3nio Bereavement Support Group.<\/p>\n<p>With a Master&#8217;s in Narrative Medicine, Dr. Carvalho has published over 80 articles in pediatrics, neonatology, bioethics, and neonatal palliative care, contributing significantly to both research and clinical practice in these fields.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"javascript:void(0)\" title=\"Click Here\" target=\"_self\"  data-modal=  role=\"button\" aria-label=\"View Bio\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tView Bio\n\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/worldneonatology.com\/2025\/wp-content\/uploads\/bb-plugin\/cache\/inac-chair-circle-circle.png\" alt=\"inac-chair-circle\" title=\"inac-chair-circle\" itemprop=\"image\"\/>\n\t\t<h6>Christian Poets<\/h6>\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<p>Co-Chair Scientific Committee | Germany<\/p>\n\t\t\t<h5>Christian Poets<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>Prof. Poets graduated from Hannover Medical School in June 1986. He received his medical training at the Dept. of Paediatric Pulmonology &amp; Neonatology, Hannover Medical School, Hannover, Germany, and at the Dept. of Paediatric Respiratory Physiology, Brompton Hospital&amp;National Heart &amp; Lung Institute, London, UK. In 1994, he became director of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the Paediatric Sleep Lab at Hannover Medical School.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2002, he is Chair and Medical Director, Department of Neonatology, Univer\u00adsity Hospital, Tuebingen, Germany. In 2008, he became chairman of the newly established Inderdisciplinary Center for Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Malformations at Tuebingen University Hospital. He has (co-)authored over 380 articles cited in PubMed, has contributed to over 120 review articles. His main research interests include the control of breathing, sleep apnoea\/intermittent hypoxia, Sudden Infant Death, perinatal epidemiology and outcome research, innate immunity, and the conduct of multicentre clinical trials. With regard to the latter, he was coordinator and Co-PI of NEuroSIS, a large EU-funded multicentre study on inhaled steroids for BPD prevention, and was\/is steering committee member of various multicentre trials (e.g., COT, ETTNO). He is the inaugural Horgan Chair in Neonatology at University College Cork, a Neonatologist at Cork University Maternity Hospital and is clinical lead at the INFANT Research Centre UCC.<\/p>\n<p>He is a member of a number of international collaborations conducting randomised trials on different aspects of neonatal care (Premod 2, Safeboosc3 and \u00a0COSGOD trials). He leads a number of local clinical studies, supervising PhD students and junior doctors on many aspects of newborn medicine including cardiovascular support and the newborn microbiome.<\/p>\n<p>He is a member of a number of international organisations including the European Society of Paediatric Research,\u00a0 European Neonatal Echo Working group, European NIRS Working group and Pharmacology section of the European Society for Paediatric Research.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He has been awarded a number of Higher Degrees, \u00a0including a doctorate for work on Hypotension in the preterm infant,\u00a0 an MSc in Health Care Ethics and Law and an MA in Teaching and Learning, focused on Simulation based procedural care. Currently the Executive Director of the International Neonatology Association Geneva. Chairperson of the State newborn care and research centre at Jaipur. Granted a patent from IPR India for a semi open system of newborn care. I have done short term fellowships from The University of Illinois at Chicago and a fellowship from the American Academy of Paediatrics video India Gyani fund at Hawaii.<\/p>\n<p>Have chaired and been faculty in many National and international meetings.<\/p>\n<p>The focus in Neonatology is on managing newborn in resource poor situations. In the last few years have focussed on newborn screening and rare metabolic and genetic disorders. From there he was awarded a Rotary International Award for advanced training in pediatrics and neonatology which marked the start of his illustrious career in pediatrics.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Jain is a specialist in respiratory disorders of newborns and is credited for highlighting the role antenatal steroids play in fetal lung fluid clearance and the ensuing multicenter trial of antenatal steroid treatment in late preterm gestations.<\/p>\n<p>He currently serves as Pediatrician in Chief at Children&#8217;s Healthcare of Atlanta; as George W.
